My question concerns this... Just heard Silfverberg will be in the lineup tonight making his NHL debut between Spez and Michalek. ...this is possible? This is allowed? I know in the other major sports it's next to impossible to change the roster during playoff time. In Major League Baseball (which is what I know best) there are very strict rules regarding who's on the official roster by what date, under what -- very stringent -- conditions changes can be made during the post-season. But your comment makes it sound as if an NHL team can just grab any old body and plunk him onto the team. Am I misunderstanding this?

Of course, they would have to sit another player as there's a specific number of players allowed to dress for any game. But I could be way off. Not an expert, just a Canadian. 1-0 Sens after 1!!!! If it keeps up like this, they'll actually be trying to score goals for whichever team they feel should win on the night. I actually stopped caring shortly into the second period due to the ahem... "referees". I just don't have words to express my disgust. One minute they're calling nothing on dangerous slashes, boardings and interference hits, then the next they call people for merely touching a player... either call the rules, or don't call them... don't change styles every freaking 2 minutes. And it's like this in every game in every series. EVERY year. They've called Ottawa TWICE (including once in this game) for delay of game clearing the puck over the boards. Rangers do it... no call. Watching it live, sure... but driving to the rink to watch it on TV and then having to spend the usual 45 minutes trying to get out of the parking lot? I thought being a Canadian made you an expert on the NHL. In related news still kind of shocked that the LA Kings finally advanced the second round first tine since 2001even though they won the first 3 against the Vancouver Canucks I thought they might become the fourth NHL team to blow such a lead glad to have been wrong. Yes, I'm a "Philly guy", and would love to see the Flyers play the Rangers. Then again, there is no real reason for me to root for the Rangers is there? I don't like them so why should I root for them? The Flyers crushing the Rangers would be satisfying, but I would be equally happy if they were embarrassingly bounced in the first round by the Sens. So I'm technically a 'Philly Guy', but I just happen to not like any of the Philly teams (though I respect the Phillies, mostly). And I get your sentiment. Being a Yankees fan I would have loved to play the Sox last year in the playoffs, but certainly seeing them crumble beforehand was satisfying enough...

I think it's a good thing to see this, even though they're my opposition. Always nice to see unlikely teams at the top for a change.
