Unfortunately, it's not yet available on Netflix, and I think I'd rather see it before buying blind. Have you happed to catch a couple of films called Bloodlines and Gag? I have the former up high in my Netflix queue -- caught a trailer on another disk and it looked extremely disgusting but oddly compelling. Gag appears to be another torture-porn film of questionable entertainment value, but the scene where the villain has duct-taped a long plastic tube to a female victim's open mouth and then put a white rat or gerbil at the other end of the tube was so over-the-top that I thought I might take a peek (unless you've seen it and can give me some more info). ... I'll be on the lookout for them, though. DEADGIRL is being released theatrically starting July 24 and I believe the DVD will be out in September. Sounds like it was much better than Knights of Bloodsteel or Hellhounds, which I started to watch but found it a plodding bore so didn't stick with it. Only a syfylys channel original movie could take a story about a journey into the Underworld, of Greek Mythology, and make it boring. I mean this was worse than Minotaur! STAR RUNNERS at least kept you watching, if only to see which movie they'd be paying 'homage' to next. What's really sad is ONE EYED MONSTER, a recent low budget "horror comedy" starring Ron Jeremy, was actually better than many similarly themed mock Alien knock-offs produced for/by sciffy/syfylys.

Occasionally they send me a Sci-Fi original such as SANDS OF OBLIVION, LOST TREASURE OF THE GRAND CANYON ALIEN AGENT, EARTHSTORM, DARK STORM, etc. , most of which are pretty forgettable. Anyway, MERLIN was better than most of the ones I've seen. ONE-EYED MONSTER sounds interesting. I saw a couple of Veronica Hart movies way back when, and of course quite a few Ron Jeremy movies. Jul 30 09 7:53 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	If you thought NIGHT STALKER was "virtually plotless" check out Areola 51, assuming it has a DVD release somewhere in the world. (I couldn't find evidence for one.) It's not quite a "weak and ponderous effort" but it comes close.
