Here's some of Vincent Price's comments from a long defunct magazine, called MEMORIES (August, 1989) where VP wrote brief memories about some of his films:
HOUSE OF USHER: My first and one of my favorites in the Edgar Allan Poe series. The start of my long association with that talented director, Roger Corman.
THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM: A mad movie made visually exciting by art director Danny Haller. Translating a short literary masterpiece into a film wasnt so easy.
THE RAVEN: Everyones favorite send-up of a horror story. Actually its a poem with no plot. The duel between Boris Karloff and me is a triumph of visual nonsense.
THE COMEDY OF TERRORS: Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre, Basil Rathbone and me. Horrors Mount Rushmore. My co-stars were three of the most delightful men I ever met. I miss them. I guess Im next to go!
THEATER OF BLOOD: My favorite funny film. It was a black comedy about a Shakespearean actor who kills his critics off one by one. Endless possibilities. A splendid cast. I fell in love with one of them, Coral Browne, married her and lived happily ever after.
THE WHALES OF AUGUST: They called us Hollywood royalty: Lillian Gish, the first star; Bette Davis, the first legend; Ann Sothern a delight. A critical success, but tough to make.
