But it strikes me that the films are guilty of one of the great bugbears of Sci-Fi cinema: crap science. Doesn't take away their enjoyability. Still - the concept of evolution as put forth in the film is kind of, shall we say, "off", even for the time period. There certainly must have been a good share of the audience who knew better when they saw the implication that fish evolved straight into primates - specifically homo sapiens. Yup, skipping... how many steps there, exactly? Oh well, this certainly would've put an interesting spin on Inherit The Wind.

The model is wire armatured made out of a combination of Sobo(craft) glue, Crayola model magic and acrylic paint. the webbing on the hands is facial tissue soaked in sobo glue and painted w/ acrylic. I made two heads for the model, the original version and the "Revenge" head seen in the comic. Mar 24 10 10:06 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I know how tiny Jethro's sculpts are and yet his rendition of the REVENGE creature version is quite a bit more accurate than the one for sale, as far as the anatomy goes. Personally, I think the pose that has the Gillman turned (the BLAM BLAM panel) is as good as any depiction of a REVENGE OF THE CREATURE model. Me...I just draw and paint stuff. Apr 4 10 3:31 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I suppose everything to be said about CFTBL has been said, but after watching it again last night I have to say this is a movie without much of a hero. On the surface (or initial viewing) it appears Mark the financier of the expedition is the "bad corporate guy" and David the paleozoologist is the "sensitive good guy", but as they say "upon further review, Mark often has the logical approach and David is a moron, an inconsistant moron to boot. Lets see, I have a Creature in a make-shift bamboo cage, slightly drugged, but lethal. Its killed three men(or four at that point?) already. Mark wants to book it out of there pronto. David says No we can't possibly leave now with the grotto unexplored, lets leave sleepy to guard the creature, I mean , what could possibly go wrong? Mark offers to go in with David with a spear gun while David ties up the tree blocking the Rita. No, thanks. I'll take a spear gun myself, I know it takes two hands to operate the gun, and two hands to afix the cable, but I'd rather do this myself. He's had enough, no more he says as the Creature staggers off. Hummm, you failed killing the Creature at every turn but now you know its enough. If you think it is going to die, then what are you saving? Ammunition? You think it is going to live? No attempt to capture after all this trouble? Moron, I say. Kay deserves better than either of these guys could muster. Pint of bitter, please.

When the aliens' kidnappings of Earth people continue, the sheriff quite rightly and commendably feels he has to take a hand, which leads to a couple aliens getting killed. "Thanks," Putnam.
