Am I correct? Is that how it was shot?

Mar 31 12 10:45 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	If the CAMERA is underwater, it's Ricou. If the camera is NOT underwater, it's mostly Ben Chapman. (A lot of the "partial shots" of the Creature -- hand reaching out of water, knees walking past a porthole, feet sliding along the boat deck, etc. -- probably aren't him.)

Mar 31 12 12:52 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It's interesting to me to see how the Creature suit looks so different - brighter in color - underwater than on land. Dark on Land. Brightly colored underwater. I asked Ricou Browning at Monsterpalooza about this - he said it was painted the same color - just the way the light hits it underwater. Sure seems different in color to me. "I saw what I saw when I saw it!"

Mar 31 12 1:06 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I can't remember my source, but SOMEbody told me the underwater suit was a little lighter, to make it easier to see against the darkness of the underwater background. Or maybe it was in Universal's production paperwork -- a suggestion that the underwater suit be lighter, for camera reasons. My brain just won't "pull up" my source on that.

I suspected you might comment on this Tom. I would think it would've been lighter too for camera and 3D effects or whatever. It just looks so different from LAND to LAGOON that it makes sense that it was. BTW, I sure hope someone at UNI is pushing to have the 3D version of CREATURE on a Bluray this fall. Just hoping...
