Apr 9 12 10:03 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Well, as we can have "Fantasy" art and not just horror I've dug out an old rough for a "fake" John Carter book cover. (over course it should have been "Fighting Man" not "Men" ...not sure what was going on in my head there!) It was started as part of a Deviant Art competition but only got as far as this quick sketch, played around in photo shop. The lettering was only a "place holding" job and not for the final version. Just trying to see if the wrap around composition worked or not. Sadly ran out of steam with it so never got much further...one day Graham.

I wait around here just waiting for some of your work to appear!!! Never am I dissappointed Chuck looks stone cold and perfect. I'm just so jealous of how capture the essence of the character and actor. Brilliant! ZD! You are always here and ALWAYS inspirational. One look at your stuff makes me want ot get to work. Fabulous work on Bettie. Got any sweet Baby Jane kicking around in archives? Graham! Dude! That is incredible work sir! I would love to see where you take this one. On the other hand I've always been a fan of sketched out images so I would actually leave it the way it is. Love it!!! Well here is my attempt at an original. I struggle quite abit but I did like the final outcome. Inspired by the older classy costume as drawn by Gene Colan in a few of the older Detective's I have left. Thanks Goss, yeah I like initial sketches as well, they often have more energy than finished work, as one of my vices is I never no when to leave enough alone and fiddle things to death, some times I wish I'd stop at an early stage and not worry about it. Great Catwoman ...Those Gene Colan issues from the 80s were fantastic. I assume you saw the Don Newton issues from around the same period ? Seeing your Catwoman makes me wonder what a painted Batman / Catwoman piece by Newton would have been like. I hadn't noticed the page count on 400 ...I'm going to shoot for 500 Myself Graham. Graham.

Thanks, Graham. It helps that I don't use an easel. I use a drawing pad and my lap, put on some MST3K or Uni Horror Flick and draw. My illustrations to "Vampire's Tomb Mystery" were done while I was selling Re-Bath at the Binghamton Speedie Fest and Balloon Rally. You'd be surprised how drawing gets potential customers over to talk to you. DK
