We spotlighted Vince with a tribute episode (#266) of Monster Kid Radio - http://www.monsterkidradio.net/2016/05/monster-kid-radio-266-tribute-to-b.html - and there are still times I miss hearing his voice on my iPod. Steve Sullivan wrote an amazing tribute to him in his article "King of the Monster Podcasters" in Monster! magazine #30, and what Steve said about the man was just the tip of the iceberg. Without Vince, the kind of podcast I, and so many others, do just wouldn't be the same . . . or even exist. He was a mainstay at Monster Bash, and was always willing to lend a hand or advice, and not just when it came to podcasting. He shared his love for all things B- and monster-movie, and always encouraged people to find something to love about even the so-called worst of the films. Someone else is starting a monster movie podcast? He sent them some of the equipment he wasn't using anymore. A monster kid has a son? He sent them monster-movie themed baby clothes. And even though Vince is no longer with us, the podcast he started continues as does the Facebook group devote to the B-Movie Cast. That community - that family - is still thriving thanks to Vince's efforts to "change the world, one freak at a time" (to quote his podcast's introduction). He's touched so many people in the monster kid community, and again, I'm going to encourage everyone to nominate Vince Rotolo for induction in the Monster Kid Hall of Fame.
