Jan 2 07 2:07 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'd rented the Hen's Tooth DVD and it looked OK, presented full screen. Apparently there is a version by an outfit called Unicorn Video, can't speak to the quality on that version though. I really don't think we'll be getting anything looking any better than the Hen's Tooth...whatever that means. Throw it in your rental list for a trip back.

Do you remember it from when we were kids...You know, I'm not even sure how I'd remember it...did I see it in the movies or was it on TV...it must've been SuperHosts fault! Watching it was alot of nostalgic fun though! I'd love to do a great big Bigfoot movie night...only problem is - no one I know here would even remotely get it! Oh Well, at least I've got the CHFB!

Jan 2 07 4:46 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	One of the things that makes this so memorable is how wildly it swings from absurd to super-scary (goofy folk song...wait, evil howl!). That and the pseudodocumentary approach with authentic locations and the non-actor cast. It really is nightmarish, just as terrifying nightmares often seem patently ridiculous by the light of day. I have the Hen's Tooth version as well. It's a little soft and faded in addition to the full-screen, but somehow this one would seem WRONG in a pristine digital transfer. It's got that drive-in or late-night UHF broadcast vibe.

I'll never forget seeing this at the drive in with BENJI. One of the most evil double features I've ever been put through. First my little sisters crying over Benji the dog's misadventures, and I'm there saying that the dang dog's fine. Then, I get the crap scared outta me when the Bigfoot attack in the cabin occurs during BOGGY CREEK. All of this occuring in a drive-in surrounded by thick woods in a time when the local papers were spooking us with stories of the skunk ape. I thought one of them was going to run out of the woods any second and pound us all to death.

Charles Pierce's horror films are significantly absent on dvd and BOGGY CREEK does deserve a first-rate release. I'd love to see THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN and THE EVICTORS given first-class treatment, as well. BOGGY CREEK II can stay in obscura. I have to wonder if there is some kind of rights problem?
