Couldn't find anything about this around, so I thought I'd bring it up. Just re-watched this one - hadn't seen it for the longest time, mostly 'cause I remember finding it hard to get through in the past. I was pleasantly surprised, it's hardly the second coming or anything but I found it to be rather well done, very different from anything an audience could really expect in a sequel (ahem) to 1931's Dracula. I remember being dissapointed that there's so little of the original picture in Daughter, but it explores some nice new territory of its own, with welcome sexual overtones that lend it an air of complexity. It's a bit slow and hardly flawless (it's nice to see Van Sloan back as Van Helsing, but he does so little it's a wonder why they even bothered) but it was quite entertaining. Any thoughts or memories?
