Quote:"Chosen Survivors" was originally released by Columbia -- how did it end up at Fox? (I guess I could live without knowing that, but I'm bored.)

Quote:Where did you read this info from Darren Gross? Last I heard, the restoration was off ("too expensive"), and even the DS restoration website--belonging to Gross--gave up the ghost approximately a year ago. - Rod

Quote:Hausenfan makes a great point above! Some members of the Board have stated that Monster Kids are a dying breed, that after our generation has passed the classic monster movies will pass with us. But, perhaps the release of all of these movies on dvd are this new century's equivalent of Famous Monsters magazine and Aurora model kits. Mayber there are a group of youngsters out there who are watching all of our favorite movies even as we speak!

Quote:From the talk around these parts, it seems like we're talking about another Warner collection here (plus other titles)*. So you're getting the underrated FRANKENSTEIN 1970 in the package whether you like it or not! :)

Quote: Well, it was a work in progress. Underneath the wrappings would have been a sweet looking Boris. Is that more terrifying? That overused "waste basket" description for the head cast just has to go! ;)

Quote:Well, I enjoy FRANKIE '70. It's got good cinematography, Boris Karloff hamming it up as a scarred mad doc creating a lumbering monster in a far-away castle, secret passageways and a hidden lab, hearts and eyeballs, a "surprise" ending....... for monsterkids, what's not to like? The movie is a 2:35:1 scope film (which is probably how it will appear on DVD). So I'm not sure about the "TV-ish look".
