Mar 20 08 10:29 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The whole "Bigfoot" mythology on that show was tailor-made for monster kids! Bigfoot, aliens, spaceships, cyborg, some fisticuffs, a severed appendage, even that goofy, vertigo-inducing tunnel everybody had to travel through. I haven't seen any of it since I was 10 years old, and I'm not sure I would want to. It surely couldn't live up to the idealized version in my head, and maybe that's how it should stay! (Which isn't to say I'm not tempted ... )

We lived near some woods -- actually, maybe a tenth of a mile of trees in the backyard -- and I was forever scanning the vicinity for Bigfoot. Then I saw "Those Mysterious Monsters," and the "In Search of ..." episode, and the Six Million Dollar Man/Bigfood smackdown ... geez, it was a Monster Kid media blitz, seventies style!

Being a big city boy myself anytime we would head off to camp out here in California (when I was young) I would always keep my eye out for Bigfoot/Sasquatch and along with the fear created by the animal attack films I sure hated going any where near the woods/mountains. Apr 24 12 7:18 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I spotted Season One of THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN at Target for only $14.99 the other day so I did a semi-blind buy. I watched the show as a kid when it was all the rage in the '70s but was only a moderate fan. I do recall liking the original pilot film (which is included here along with the two other pre-series TV Movies). Anyhow -- this is money well spent as I watched the first two films and enjoyed them already. I finally got a chance to hear that original Dusty Springfield theme song and it plays as unintentionally hilarious now. (Sorry Dusty, you know I love ya). Looking forward to the actual TV episodes. "Guy named Squeamy got thrown from the fifth floor. He's deader'n a mackerel."

May 1 12 5:41 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Luis, I haven't heard anything recently. He's another guy who seemed to show up a lot on TV in the 60s and early 70s. To the show SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, I loved it as a kid. I haven't seen it in ages, may have to try to find it on DVD. Joe, that is a great deal, I think those early movies are really good, and I'm betting they would still hold up for me.

Was it an Anderson weekend and I didn't know about it? :-) No it was yesterday morning but I know what you mean about a particular actor making many guest appearance on different shows on the same day on MeTV I think saw a similar thing on Antenna TV with R.G. Armstrong and Michael Ansara two long time character actors still living but haven't worked in the industry in over a decade like Anderson.
