An avatar is the little square picture that appears by a member's name on their posts. There are several ways to change your avatar.
If you have a basic yuku account, here is the easiest way to add or change your member avatar:
1. Click on "Account" at the top of the screen to go to your account settings.
2. Click on the avatar block to go to your avatar images album.
3. To change to a different avatar in your album, click on the image you want.
4. To add a new image, click the "Browse" button and navigate to the location of the new image on your computer then click "Upload" .
Avatars will appear square and sized to 100 pixel by 100 pixels. For best results make sure your image is as close to square as possible.

If you have an upgraded account here is the easiest way to add or change your member avatar:
1. Click on your member name in the menu at the top of your screen.
2. Click on "Profile".
3. On your profile page, move cursor to "About Me" then click on "Edit".
4. Beside "Profile Photo" click "Upload New Photo".
5. Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the location of the avatar image you have selected, wherever it is stored on your hard drive. Select the file.
6. Check the box that says, "I certify that I have the right to distribute this picture and that it does not violate the Terms of Use"
7. Click "Upload Photo".
8. When you are returned to your profile, scroll to the bottom and click "Save".
Your new avatar will now appear on your profile and on new posts you make.
If you wish to change your avatar to an image that has already been uploaded to your Profile Photos album, go to the album, click on the image you want and from the photo settings, click "Make Profile Pic". That image will become your new avatar.
