However, Paramount managed to get the second season of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, another one-hour show, on, I think, 7 discs while the first season of GUNSMOKE, in its half-hour run, was on 6 discs. Four seasons of M:I would, theoretically run to 28 discs, GUNSMOKE to 24 discs. I guess it's all in the bit rate and compression.

Sep 28 07 10:21 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'm torn. I've been waiting years for this series to come out on dvd, but I'm not sure about this set. The price IS pretty steep, but the announced extra features certainly help sweeten the deal. What concerns me most is the packaging. Sure, big ol' silver attache case, very clever, etc -- but I'm trying like hell these days to conserve space in my house. Where the heck would I store this thing??? Lately I've been putting a lot of my dvd's into cd wallets, storing the sleeve art seperately and tossing those bulky keepcases away -- it really helps conserve shelf space. This entire set would just about fit into one of those 40-disc wallets I get at the 99c store, wouldn't take up much room at all. But then what do I do with the attache case? Sounds way too cool to dump, but too imparactical to keep. Hmmm.
