"Ohhhh I oughta run you in! I oughta run you in!!!" Gordon Jones and Sid Fields both had great yelling voices. It came in handy when dealing with that "tubby little dumbbell"!

The end of that episode ,"Fall Guy" is somewhat marred by the obvious use of stunt doubles during the altercation on the roof. Joe LaCava, doubling for Bud, looks to be about 30 pounds lighter than the comedian. Vic Parks, doubling for Lou, finds it necessary to jump and down as if he were on a trampoline in a bad attempt to emulate Lou (although Parks was Lou's frequent stand in in many of their movies and TV episodes). The audio of Abbott's voice is badly matched with that of La Cava's reaction which comes one or two seconds after you hear Bud's voice yell: "Uhhh! Hey! Trouble!! Actually there is one point where I can't tell whether it's Vic Parks or Lou Costello at the end of the episode "Cheapskates", where Lou slips and falls wearing roller skates. I've paused it, and from the angle the face is not at all visible, so whether it's Parks or Costello (who did some of his own stunt work on the show) is still a question for me.

This post is just my end of the year salute to my favorite comedian and hero, SID FIELDS. What a shame there is hardly any info or pics of this great man on the web.
