Looks like audiences will be bearing witness to yet another family vacation/road trip gone horribly awry when this remake hits screens. Tonight I saw the trailer preceeding Wolf Creek-- itself one of the latest in the revamped 70's-indebted suburbanites-out-of-water genre-- and knew instantly what it was the second the family motor home came into view. It wasn't terribly explicit in revealing the wilderness family's new features, but clearly they're meant to look more ghastly and mutated than in the original. It seems that the two younger suburban siblings are not fraternal twins this time out and are separated by several years. The elder daughter looked pregnant to me, rather than the mother of a newborn. I couldn't tell based on the footage shown if the Beauty and Beast dog couple and the turncoat wild daughter will be included as well.
