Maybe someone at Universal heard our pleas for help, friend Jameson ...? DVD releases--be they pressed discs or MOD--are planned months in advance, so I doubt the thread from 2 or 3 weeks ago prompted a panic-stricken meeting of sweating, frightened Universal execs over how they could win us back.Plus Universal is Evil and doesn't care what fans want, Right?

My thanks for grabbing THING....after seing that TCM print and the lack of any widescreen indicator on the Amazon page gives my order finger pause.
Any and all reports on print quailty will be most useful

I though has to be a typo but then the next two movies ("You Gotta Stay Happy" and "The Ballad of Josie") are listing for $159.99 and $135.39 each, respectively. Can that really be correct???

I tried it on a couple machines; all the same. I've got a buddy who's got the set, so I asked him to make me a copy of MOROCCO. He tried. HIS froze. Then he tried running the other movies. Nothing but freeze-ups.
I love DVD .... but I remember with great affection the worry-free VHS days. What a load of ****, to have to wonder as you start each DVD movie if in 90 minutes you'll be watching the end of the movie or if in 60 minutes you'll be throwing the disc in the garbage.
