With the technology today they could blend some of the footage from A&C Meet into the beginning and go from there. I agree about Return Of The Wolfman, but rather than integrate footage from A&CMF I think such a film should start with an abbreviated climax of A&CMF shot in black & white with the actors who play the monster characters in the rest of the ROTW film.

Kind of an expansion of the original book, showing what happened to the Monster betwixt his creation and his reunion with his maker, and request for a bride.

The days of syndication packages are long dead, and I don't think we'll ever see a "Saturday afternoon monster movie in every market" again. But we don't have to, because Universal OWNS Syfy and Chiller! Instead of running SHARKTOPUSAGATOR VS. MEGA PIRANNAHCONDA five times a week, slip in TARANTULA or THE MONOLITH MONSTERS once a week. Just once. And Chiller could have a midnight show of THE RAVEN or THE MUMMY'S GHOST or whatever hundred other titles Universal has in their catalog. A "Vintage Saturday Night" show would draw an audience. Maybe not an audience of 50 million attention deficit teens playing with their Blackberrys, but enough of an audience to warrant showing one single black & white movie a week. I think they'd be surprised at the fans they would gain.Come on Universal, it ain't rocket surgery!

The possibilities would be endless. I would love to see this.

If they were to make a series, I'd like to see all the major Universal Monsters represented and their stories presented in a rotational manner. One week it might be Dracula. Another week it could be Frankenstein. Then the Wolf Man and so on.... Eventually their storylines would cross over where the Monsters would meet. Sometimes they could be complicit with each other - and other times they would be at odds with each other. Perhaps it could be set in the present day but, with flashbacks to the 1930's and 40's( or even the 1700s and 1800s ) to show the long history these characters share. It's got possibilities. - GJS

Batman,The problem with the concept is that KARLOFF, LUGOSI, CHANEY JR., and CARRADINE are no longer with us. They are THE ACTORS that were able to make stars out of our monsters. They played the monsters straight without their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks and the same can be said for everyone associated with the making of these classic films. You know that stories made in the same vein, by modern actors would never even be considered a viable option for a TV series on any channel. Let's get real here, what we're really talking about is either a cgi gore fest or another TRUE BLOOD imitation with classic uni monsters updated so they are unrecognizable to us, tossed into the mix. That is the reality, that is what sells in todays' high tech day and age, unfortunately.

No, because you love the original material and want to see something faithful to the spirit and intent of the original material. So, assuming someone similar exists in the world of tv - suspend your disbelief! - we could end up with something old school spooky and magickal. And not a tv version of VAN HELSING.

His facial bone structure is just right for the Pierce Monster make-up. He also, at 6'4" has the height and his physique is much more muscular than Boris'. And, he's a real good actor to boot. For years I've thought it would be neat for Uni to do a remake of Frankenstein and Bride Of Frankenstein as one movie, and Christopher Heyerdahl gets my vote to play the Monster!
