One of the things that appeals to me is the sense of community. Yeah, they're all ultimately competing against each other, after all, only one artist can win. Tate was in a jam after he hurt his finger and it was really cool for the many of the other artists to come to his aid by helping with his project while he was at the hospital. Many tremendous designs have been created over the course of this season, just like in past seasons. Hope this show stays on for many years to come.I like that, too. You don't see other contestants pitching in and helping out in other reality series.

Agreed Miranda and Eddie did a beautiful job this week. It was particularly interesting when they realized their initial makeup looked a lot like something they'd seen in an film, and Miranda's inspired solution. Even if I'm not usually impressed with his work I guess I should root for hometown boy Eddie, who attends SCAD, the local art school.
Sorry to see Alana go. I understand the thinking behind 'Whomever did the face gets the credit/blame' - it is called FACE-OFF after all - but Alana face wasn't terrible, whereas Laney's scales and paint were worst than amatuerish.

I've watched the first couple of episodes of the kiddie version of Master Chef. So far the kids, who are 8-13 years old, have displayed more maturity, respect, and overall class than most adults on these reality competition shows.
