This was a guy who was fully aware of his words. Has anyone ever heard Dr. Jekyll pronounced this way? Maybe by an older relative/person. (It's at the 50sec mark.) [url] "It is so hot in here"!

He once said that the names were a play on the term "hide and seek" and that Jekyll was pronounced Jeekyll to sound like the word seek.

As for "Jeekyll," that's how it was pronounced in the 1931 Paramount version with Frederic March.
