Mar 12 13 3:56 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	There is only the FRANKENSTEIN LEGACY COLLECTION and the older Double Feature, paired with THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN. I would advise seeking out the double feature just to avoid the DVD-18 craziness. I'd be willing to bet we'll get another release on DVD or Blu-ray soon enough, though. Mar 19 13 9:04 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I just watched this film from my UK Monster legacy set ( Not DVD18 LIKE THE USA SETS) and noticed a white line down the left hand side of the picture when shown in original aspect on my 47" widescreen . When I watched the earlier Son / Ghost stand alone disc (NTSC REGION 1) I felt the print was slightly sharper and in better shape but slightly darker and no white line . Mar 20 13 6:09 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Universal should have put this in the Classic Monsters Blu-ray box in place of, The Creature From The Black Lagoon (which should be in a Jack Arnold box). Oh well, roll on the sequels box!

I agree. Good point. I always felt like Creature was a little out of place on that set as was Phantom, IMO.

Mar 21 13 2:08 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	While I would certainly have liked to have SON over the 1943 PHANTOM (hell, I would have taken JUNGLE WOMAN over PHANTOM), what they were going for was representing each of the "Classic Monsters". Would love to see this one put out on bluray. I have heard about that white line showing up on some of the Bob Hope films. It seems to be a relic of older transfers.

If Universal was interested in re-releasing any of the sequels or anything else, for that matter, they would have done it to cash in on their 100th Anniversary, when there was a feeding frenzy, not as an after thought. Besides, UNIVERSAL already knows what they will and will not be releasing this year. Those are not last minute decisions. I find it hard to believe that if anything else was planned, we wouldn't know it by now. These are not government secrets and there are too many sources, that don't take blood oaths of secrecy, that have heard nothing from their inside connections. "Silence speaks volumes."
