Feb 13 13 9:41 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	20th Century-Fox released the film theatrically in the States, and they also had the television rights through at least the end of the 70s. I don't recall them being a financial partner in the production of the film, so their distribution rights have probably reverted back to Hammer by now, I would think.

I saw the film on MGM's Impact OnDemand service ages ago and might be able to help pinpoint which version was used. The US PG print was cut down by several minutes ( all the sex and violence ), the original tv print was worse with additonal cuts. In the 80's, I recall seing what appeared to be the uncut version with new, less intrusive cuts for a more lenient broadcast on the USA network.

All rights to VAMPIRE CIRCUS--including any variant cuts--reverted to Rank. Rank made a new U.S. distribution deal with the Samuel Goldwyn Company; MGM later inherited that deal and renewed it for TV and possibly streaming (not sure), while Synapese licensed the U.S. home video rights. So if anyone were to distribute the PG cut in the U.S. it would be MGM or Synapse through their licenses. But if the PG cut still exists, it's probably just a fading I.N. gathering dust in the Fox vaults. Not ideal material to use for a transfer. And who would want a clumsily hacked up version anyway?

Feb 25 13 5:40 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I once saw a terrible hack job of the climax in VC when it played with the House that Dripped Blood in the mid 70's. After such a strong build up the cuts were so blatant it ruined the whole ending (No spoilers here!).
