What again?

What again? WHAT WHAT again? 'Cardboard'?! No actor has done Vulcan (at least a half-human Vulcan) as well as Nimoy. Sorry you cant perceive his amazing performance throughout the series and films.

Whoa, GH - you are coming from a different perspective.
Not a giant Trekkie here, but a Trek fan since original run. And though I generally liked Abram's first, it did flatten and diminish the wonder of the franchise a bit.-Craig

I think the monster/alien looked too much like something from a film today to fit into a film set in the Seventies...but maybe that's just me. (And the film had a number of jarring anachronisms.)There was mention on the previous page of STAR WARS' origins in FLASH GORDON. I remember Lucas being interviewed in the Seventies saying he wanted to make FLASH GORDON after AMERICAN GRAFFITI but couldn't get the rights and had to come up with his own space opera. Imagine how different things would have been had he gotten FLASH GORDON back then.
