Jan 17 13 10:16 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hello All: while we have been discussing the how Dracula will turn out visually on BD, let's not forget the BFI did a wonderful job restoring the audio. Let's hope we don't get another Rasputin...Great visual...awful sound... IMHO, the soundtrack to Dracula is just as important...brilliant scoring and orchestrating by James Bernard!!!

The opening titles sequence, with Bernard's incredible score playing, and the camera eventually taking us down, down the fateful steps to Dracula's crypt--it's, to me, one of the supreme highlights of the film, and it's largely thanks to James Bernard that the sequence is so effective. One could certainly argue that Bernard's score adds a tremendous dimension to several other sequences in this film. G.
