Completed in 1971, A REFLECTION OF FEAR wound up being shelved for two years, quietly disappearing from theaters to find its place on television. It's understandable why the studio had little confidence in it, as it is a rather bizarre psycho-thriller, but boasts an excellent cast, led by Robert Shaw, his real life wife Mary Ure playing his ex, Sally Kellerman, and the odd looking yet perfectly cast Sondra Locke. My own print seems to be the 89 minute theatrical version, minus whatever footage the director, William A. Fraker, intended to keep. No doubt there's a story behind this one, as fascinating as the one behind it.
