So, how many people did each classic monster kill, in their initial films? Off the top of my head, I can credit Frankenstein's creation with three: Fritz, Dr. Waldman and Little Maria. I believe The Werewolf of London also kills three people -- a prostitute, the zookeeper's girlfriend and Dr. Yogami. Dracula's bodycount is harder to guess, as in the movie here's no clear indication of the number of the The Vesta's crew, but along with them, the Count accounts for Lucy, Renfield and the girl he's seen stalking in London -- I'm guessing somewhere between 15 and 25 victims in all. That would put him in the lead if it wasn't for the Invisible Man, whose death toll numbers over a hundred due to the train he sends off a cliff, but even if you just count Kemp, the constable and the two volunteer members of the search party, he takes out more people than the Monster or either werewolf. Somewhat surprisingly, the Wolf Man would actually seem to have one of the lowest bodycounts (the character, that is, not the movie), as I don't recall him killing anyone other than that one poor gravedigger. It's been a while since I've seen The Mummy, so I'm not sure how many people, if any, Imhotep kills, but surely his bodycount is smaller than that of his successor Kharis.
But yeah, the champ is clearly the Invisible Man. The only classic pre-50s monster to approximate his death toll would be Kong.
