Mexican actor Jorge Luke, 69, died this past Saturday, August 4, of natural causes.
The Mexican actor was born in Havana in
1942, appeared in over 100 films in Mexico & the US. He also appeared in
soap operas, TV series and musical theater. His career began in the 1960s as lead singer for the The Rippers.
In the 1970's, he began a film career,
debuting in "The Garden of Aunt Isabel" and "The Gates of Paradise
"(1971). That same year, the doors of Hollywood opened with "River of Gold" (1971). He also played the Apache scout opposite Burt lancaster in "Ulzana's Raid" (1972). His other credits include "Nevada Smith" (1975), "The Return of a Man Called Horse" (1976),
"Sunburn", "Eagle's Wing" (1979) “Mexico in Flames” (1981) and "Clear and
Present Danger" (1994).
