Storyline(from IMDB): After the sudden accidental death of her small daughter, Julia Lofting, a
wealthy American woman living in London, bolts her unhappy marriage and
buys a house in Kensington which is haunted by the ghost of a quite
obscenely nasty little girl who died in the 1950s and plans to use Julia
as her pawn in a terrible revenge.
This is currently streaming in HD on Netflix. Print is beautiful! I've never seen this before, or even heard of it, but its certainly satisfying enough. Mia Farrow is her usual innocent self, and Keir Dullea is decent enough. I really loved the music in this, done by Colin Towns. It has that soft orchestration crossed with 70s synthesizer touch that I am so fond of. This is definitely not "Rosemary's Baby" even though it deals with Farrow...babies...and the supernatural. This has more of the classic 'ghost story' approach with a mystery to solve and frequent creepy haunting scenes, as opposed to Rosemary's paranoia-fest. Worth checking out for fans of 'Burnt Offerings' and 'Don't Look Now'...
