Aug 1 12 5:02 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Does anyone knowledgeable around here know anything about an original Gojira novel? I'm sure I've read somewhere that there was either an original book, or a book of the movie published in Japan in the 1950's. Anyone?

Aug 2 12 10:47 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	There is also a mango version of the novel that came out in 1954 which usually sells in the ¥30,000-40,000 range. The novel as pictured below with the first edition DJ is extremely rare and would likely bring ¥200,000+ on the collector's market. Kong did make a couple of appearances in a some "group" type children's storybooks a few years later, but there was no titled manga for it like there were for the other films. The top one is a sonorama book/record set (and i believe the bottom one is an interior illustration from it) and the second one is a monthly magazine that had a special King Kong issue (though I see it also mentions Batman on the cover).
