Jul 14 12 6:48 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	This is a U.K. (Scotland or England or both) TV police procedural series. It has apparently been running since 1983, 6 or so episodes a year. We were watching year 19 on streaming, only to find that it ran another 8 years, at least. Apparently ended in 2010. Is 27 years a record for prime time (which I assume it was)??? In the U.S. or England....

Jul 15 12 4:30 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Does this mean you haven't yet seen an episode which actually features Mark McManus as Taggart? I was always surprised that the show never got renamed at any point following the actor's death in 1994, which obviously precluded the character of Taggart from ever making an appearance in any of the last sixteen seasons of a show called... TAGGART. That may well be a record of some sort in itself! In the UK, soap opera CORONATION STREET is now in its 52nd year in a prime time slot (GUIDING LIGHT ran for longer, but of course not at prime time) on the ITV network, on which TAGGART also appeared. Or, taking only police procedural shows into consideration, the current record-holder must be TATORT ('Crime Scene'), which will enter its 42nd year in a prime time slot on German station ARD this November. Jul 15 12 11:31 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I really appreciate little threads like this, Don and Dr. As a Netflix streaming fan, I'm always happy to see new and obscure (for me) genre TV series pop up like newly-born gophers. I've looked at Taggart and seen that this particular set of streaming seasons actually begins at season 19 (which I thought strange). Then I checked out some of the comments/reviews and found that in a couple of the seasons, the episodes are listed out of order. Fortunately, those commenters give the correct order in which to view them. With Dr. Kiss' additional info, I am now armed with enough to view these seasons intelligently. I do wish that Netflix would stream any series in its entirety, but that hasn't always been the case. Taggart looks decent enough. My wife and I will probably give it a shot. Hope it's dark enough for my tastes. We recently discovered the one season (4 episodes) of Vera, which has been reasonably entertaining, even for me, who tries to avoid the more cozy crime/detective series (conceding Murdoch Mysteries for the sake of whatever conjugal bliss remains). ...
