The Comic: Eve has an imagination that’s more than active—it can be downright dangerous!  Working late at the costume super-store Halloween Land, she gets lost in her own thoughts until something goes bump in the night...  The rubber masks and plastic novelties are coming to life, and Eve must face ghosts, goblins, and gorilla suits made real!

HALLOWEEN EVE is a 40-page (32 story pages plus other content) full-color comic, due out in October 2012 to celebrate Halloween.  It's a stand-alone, self-contained tale of magic and adventure.  It's geared toward teen and adult audiences.

The Creators: Artist Amy Reeder (Batwoman, Madame Xanadu) teams with writer Brandon Montclare (Fear Itself: Fearsome Four).  Although we loved our various projects at Marvel and DC, we both feel its time to do something creator-owned.  We'd like your support, and that's where Kickstarter comes in...

Godzilla... Chewbacca... Predator... Robby the Robot... These are some of the most iconic characters in cinema, but many people still don't know about the incredible actors who bring these creatures to life!

MEN IN SUITS will shine a long overdue light on an art that is getting lost in this age of computer graphics.

SUITS is a feature length documentary nearing completion.  We only have music, sound effects and the final sound mix to go.

We'll also be able to author and print the first run of DVDs.  As a SUITS supporter you will be among the first to SEE and OWN the finished documentary.  It's basically like pre-ordering the film!!

SYNOPSIS

MEN IN SUITS will examine the history and craft of suit performers from the Creature of the Black Lagoon to Pan's Labyrinth. Through interviews with these actors we will showcase the skill, strength and art required of them.

This will be Wyrd Studios' third documentary about the fantastic genres (science fiction, horror, fantasy).  Our first film LOVECRAFT: FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN was an award winning documentary about a greatly influential, but little known author.  It is now considered to be the most comprehensive documentary on the man.

Our goal with MEN IN SUITS is to be just as comprehensive.  A documentary made by monster fans for all those who love the movies.

Los Angeles, 1958: A detective holes up in a downtown hotel waiting for killers to come and get him. As one long night turns to day he meets various characters with haunted pasts of their own, and the truth is revealed of how he ended up in this predicament.

"HOTEL NOIR" is a black and white film noir starring CARLA GUGINO, DANNY DEVITO, ROSARIO DAWSON, RUFUS SEWELL, MALIN AKERMAN, ROBERT FORSTER, MANDY MOORE and KEVIN CONNOLLY.

THE MOVIE IS FINISHED.  And we are so $%*$%%$ proud of it.  It's got AMAZING PERFORMANCES and cool-as-hell black and white cinematography and a fantastic analog, period-correct Jazz score, like something that might have been heard in a Jean Pierre Melville movie.

"Hearts, Thorns, and Scales" will be a roughly 48-page volume containing three full color, painted comics.  The comics (The Little Robot Girl, Fairyfail, and How to Be a Mermaid) can be found on my website.  Each of these stories stem from fairytales without confining them to the constriction of that particular genre.  They are stories of love - both romantic and not - and they all couple lightness and hope with a tinge of the dark and unexpected.

GOLIATH is an all-ages, 11" x 11" large format, 84-page illustrated storybook. The story follows the adventures of a small family of prehistoric people named the Ty clan. The Ty clan live in very difficult times and face incredible dangers every day. To survive, they must embark upon an epic journey to find a new world and the peace they have always dreamed of. They find great strength and determination in their belief in magnificent stories passed down through the generations that speak of giant white guardians that protect and watch over them. As the story unfolds, we will find out if these are just age-old tales the clan elders tell while sitting around the fire or if these great guardians prove to be so much more...
