It's got Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck in the rebooted Battlestar Galactica series as well as appearing in 24), Cassidy Freeman from Smallville, Lou Diamond Phillips and starring an Australian actor named Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, a sheriff in Wyoming (shot in New Mexico) based on a series of books by Craig Johnson. It's a modern western that got 4.1 Million viewers in it's first episode without much fanfare. It's already renewed for a second season. A lot of TV critics seem to like it too. It's definitely not your average crime drama.
I know it's not a sci-fi or horror show but it does have actors and actresses who have appeared on those kind of shows.
