Lon Jr. wasn't right for the part, physically (in my humble opinion), and the mask was a way to make him look frightening. As a mummy in CASA and on the Halloween episode of "Route 66" he looks terrible. (Again, just one man's opinion.)

NATURALISTIC! UNCANNY! MARVELOUS!

Seems out of place for him to react at all. Just prior to that moment, he's off in the corner with a tail-between-his-legs look that makes me feel bad for the character; he's more like an abused henchman than a monster (ie Karloff in The RAVEN or Naish in HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN).What's the explanation for Zucco aka Andoheb appearing in GHOST when he expired in TOMB? In TOMB, he says he waited (I assume for astrological reasons) 30 years for revenge. In GHOST, he's sending Carradine to get Kharis and Ananka returned to Egypt. It's clear in Mapleton that these events are years after TOMB, so there's no way GHOST was a prequel.

died, but it's not stated that he died. Even if it was, it would be
easier to come back from that than from his fate at the end of HAND-- a
bullet in the gut and rolling down a series of steps!
