It's funny how TAGS had just about run its course by the time I started watching it, yet I consider it a huge part of my childhood. A day doesn't go by when I don't use a phrase or some line from a character on that show. It takes a big man to let the other actors on your show pretty much "run with it" when it came to their characters. I was also a fan of Salvage 1. I remember I even started collecting junk around my neighborhood after watching it. My friend and I would ride our bikes around looking for anything that might be worth a buck. I pretty much liked anything he was in. As a comedian, he turned out to be one of the best straight men in the business.

This replaced the original simple name/birth/death marker. I am so glad they included my favorite Don Knotts character - Luther Heggs from "The Ghost And Mister Chicken". BA~

Although I knew him first from THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, I really liked his comedy albums and routines like "What It Was Was Football." Very funny stuff. Like most, I'm a big fan of his turn in A FACE IN THE CROWD and like him a lot in HEARTS OF THE WEST.
