Jul 2 12 12:14 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I was at my local comic store and saw an Aurora The Phantom of the Opera kit with "KIT NO. 428" stamped on it, and on the right side was "1994 Cinema-something..." printed on it. Also it had a 1963 Copyright with "Aurora Plastics..." printed on the top/bottom/left/right sides printed on it. I know this is a reissue for that simple fact, but am not sure what a fair price for this kit is. It is shrink wrapped and the box is in very good condition. On ebay this kit goes as high as $350 but they have "KIT NO. 428-98" printed on them instead of "428." Is this the number for the original 1963 version? If so then I would understand the high price. But for a reissue, how much is a good price? I want to get that kit simply because it's a classic character and the box artwork looks great. Any advice would help. Thanks!

Jul 3 12 4:26 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	That's a Cinemodels kit. The company used molds owned by Monogram who was licensed t use the Aurora logo when re-popping their kits. If memory serves, Cinemodels was putting kits out around the mid 90's. I've seen these fetch a fairly hefty price along with their Forgotten Prisoner reissue. Unless you're an Aurora completist, I'd pass this up. You're not getting anything different than you'd get with a Monogram reissue - except some nice box art. The kits that Cinemodels produced were very well done and they were the only game in town at that time unless you bought an original from John Green or some other kit dealer.

Jul 13 12 12:33 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Not to rain on your find, but I remember the original boxes were wrapped in brittle cellophane, with heat sealed corners. State of the art for the early 60's. This box looks like it's sealed in a modern, flexible shrink wrap.
