I did a great thread a few years back on this subject, and there were alot of great posts. Unfortunately I can't find it, and I think it's gone. One post in particular was about a John Wayne western that suddenly got very spooky at one point, something to do with severed heads in a bag? Am I remembering that little tidbit correctly? If so, what John Wayne film is that? Because I've never seen it.
And also, I don't know what it is, but there's something very eerie about the movie ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ, particularly the very ending and the credits. Whether it's the music, or the overall mood I'm not sure, but it gives me a creepy feeling everytime I see it. Maybe I'm nuts. (NO COMMENTS!!!)
Can you think of any other NON-HORROR films where there may be a moment that gave you the creeps, or seemed oddly horror-like? It may not even have been intentional, but it's how it hit you.
I hope for those who may remember that older thread, that you won't mind reposting some of your thoughts on this. There are many many new members since then. Thanx!
