Jul 20 12 11:26 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	House of a 1000 Corpses can make for an interesting watch, but it's pretty messy, as a lot of people have pointed out. It's like a really long music video. The Devil's Rejects was really good, in my opinion. I used to have to work with this scary ex-con guy and the character of Otis Firefly reminded me a lot of him when he got off on a rant, so that added some realism to me. It's got that grindhouse thing. If he wasn't already famous, I think his films would be looked at as interesting curiosities. That scene when they're all in the car arguing about ice cream cracks me up. You want to hate these people, because you know they're all psychos, but you have to be endeared by them, so it makes a personal conflict when you watch it, and forces you to think about that. I saw Halloween, and some things about it worked for me, and some didn't. I can accept that Michael Myer's might have grown up to be really tall, but how did he become so muscley just sitting there making masks all day? Does he stay tensed up all the time? Maybe that's the supernatural aspect, it made him stupidly-huge. I haven't seen Halloween II, so I have no opinion yet. I like White Zombie's music, but never really got down to his solo stuff.
