Jun 16 12 12:14 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I've been watching sporadically and at the end of GOJIRA, the Classic Media logo appeared. I can only assume TCM is utilizing the CM DVDS for all the movies. Also, is my hearing going bad or did Robert Osbourne call Gojira, Gojita??

Jun 17 12 3:58 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The "r" in "Gojira" is really more of a "d" sound to my ear. He may have been trying for that and it sounded like a "t" to you, or he may have mis-heard it himself and repeated it the way he heard it. Or something else.

The ending with the American narration (I wondered if I a 20th-Century man, could hope to die as well) is much more gut wrenching. It was a treat to see the Japanese version of MOTHRA, especially since illness kept me from venturing to Jersey City last week to see it on the big screen. I haven't seen the film in any form since it slowly shrunk from view on my TV on that November day in 1965 when NYC had the blackout and it was playing on the WABC afternoon movie.

It would have been interesting had it been originally released intact but dubbed (wonder if it would have has the same impact on the monstuh pitcher genre). Glad that I finally got to see it.
