Was "The Elevator" ever released as a story? Or does it remain only an 80's Twilight Zone screenplay?
Does anyone remember a Bradbury story or two about a crime-fighting character named The Dapper? It's about a character whose wife was murdered by a crook, and he devotes his time to foiling crime. His method? He tells the entire world he is going to Crook A's hidehout, and then he dares Crook A to kill him, knowing Crook A doesn't dare with the police watching. It's the kind of thing that could only be written in the 40s, I think. I read this in 1989 or so, and I'm sure it's Bradbury, but I can't find a single thing about it on Google. Am I mistaken that Bradbury wrote it?
