Another grand issue of one of my favorite magazines.
The three highlights for me are the interview by John Marshall with Gamera Vs. Gira kid actor Carl Craig. One excellent interview! Also, a heartfelt article/remembrance of Yvette Vickers (with LOTS of photos I have not seen before) by her friend writer John O'Dowd, and a great interview about someone I knew nothing about, sci-fi pulp writer Dr. Samuel J. Sacket by Christopher M. O'Brien.
Other goodies (some of which I have yet to read) include Al Doshna's interview with film producer/writer Andrew J. Fenady, Don Vaughan's interview with pulp illustrator William Stout and magazine publisher Russ Cochran celebrating Edgar Rice Burroughs, a cool article with interviews by Brett Weiss related to the Spidey Super Stories segments from the 1970s kid show The Electric Company; another nice Don Vaughan interview, this one with illustrator Ken Kelly.
And there is still more...an article by Jon Pike about collecting record albums of AIP film soundtracks, an interview by Mike Stein with record album cover photographer Henry Diltz, Steven Jay Rubins story on Bert I. Gordon, and a short article (with some great old photos) on 100 years of movie theater snack concessions!
Whew, that is a lot of (good) reading!
