Even though the two films have the essentially same plot, ONE MILLION YEARS BC has a grimmer tone overall. Even the shooting locations lack vegetation, which is interesting considering dinosaurs had to live there. WDRTE seems lighter, even campier to me. The cave-girls are built like "Little Annie Fannie", and wear full make-up at all times. In one scene, former Playmate of the Year Victoria Vetri dives into the water and comes up with a fish in her mouth. It is hard to take the film very seriously, which makes it my favorite of the two. (WDRTE is too long, however, and could be edited down to make a better movie).
