"Terror," The last of the first series, arrived in the mail today and I went right to it late tonight. I thought, for what it was, it was pretty darned good.
It was definitely better than the preview "Mecha." The Titanosaurus beat King Seesar for looks hands down. Even the plot wasn't bad. That old scientist role... wouldn't that have been right up Boris Karloff's alley?
Anyway, the fight scenes were entertaining. "G" had a harder edge than in the previous few "save the world" flicks. And, to me, he looked good except for the very end. What was that, a plastic godzilla in the water?
Finally, I'm glad I watched this if for no other reason than to hear the most romantic line ever said in a Godzilla movie by the hero guy (I already can't remember his name) to the scientist's daughter: "Even if you're a Cyborg, Katsura, I still love you."
So finally, I got through the first series. I'm really interested to see where they went with it in the next incarnation.
