Working for Zenith, Polley invented the wireless remote in 1955, which would eventually liberate millions of American children from channel switching slavery at the whim of their parents. May 23 12 1:59 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It was called the "Flash-Matic" and was advertised as being "absolutely harmless to humans....you can even shut off the annoying commercials while the picture remains on the screen". From the picture I saw, it sort of looked like an upside down "L". Polley and Robert Adler received an Emmy in the 70's for their contribution to the magical world of t.v. viewing. All of the couch potatoes around here are sad to hear of his passing.
