Eugene Polley, inventor of the wireless TV remote control, died at a hospital in Downers Grove, Il. He was 95. Working for Zenith, Polley invented the wireless remote in 1955, which would eventually liberate millions of American children from channel switching slavery at the whim of their parents.
Polley's body was reportedly found under a couch seat cushion. (Kidding!)
