This CD of KING KONG and SHE was slashed down to just $4.98 over at the oldies.com website. (This Sound Track Factory release is now out of print.) Even though I've got a couple of KONG soundtracks and the re-recording for SHE, I thought this might still be a neat CD to have for playing the background while doing stuff at home, especially at such a nice price. Was surprised, when it arrived, to find it was both music and dialogue from the films, making this more of an audio adventure double feature.
I know there have been other audio dramatizations of KONG, such as the Wonderland LP sold in the pages of the original Famous Monsters of Filmland:
More recently Rhino gave us this release, half of which uses dialogue from the film to retell the tale with the other half giving us Max Steiner's incredible score. (The Rhino release is out of print, but a reissue from Sony Australia shows up on Amazon):
I stumbled across a listing for this CD from Image (released in 2001 maybe?) earlier this week called THE LEGEND OF KING KONG: AN INCREDIBLE DISCOVERY, which I'd never heard of. Does anyone know any more about it?
