May 22 12 9:56 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The Fifties and Sixties are loaded with great films with jazz scores that are so good they begged to be owned on their own accord. Some films that spring to mind: "Breathless" "City of the Dead" "The Man with the Golden Arm" "Elevator to the Gallows" "Charade" "A Shot in the Dark" Any others? "Lord I love Spring! The birds, the fair weather, the new flowers. It doesn't get any better than this. HOLY CRAP! what's THAT?!?"

May 24 12 10:27 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	4D MAN is a rather strident and annoying score, in my opinion. And I'm friends with Ralph Carmichael, the composer. I really nice jazzy score is Herman Stein's/Henry Mancini's THE UNGUARDED MOMENT, an Esther Williams thriller in which she doesn't swim, but acts very well. The music was re-used prominently in THE THING THAT COULDN'T DIE, less prominently in MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS, and in many other Universal movies of the 1950s and 1960s.
