May 18 12 2:00 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Not strictly a horror title but with two ditzy old dames murdering innocent people and a relative who looks like Boris Karloff it's close enough to merit discussion. I bring this up because ARSENIC is the second title of their new release ADVENTURES OF DON JUAN/ARSENIC AND OLD LACE. It's a terrific recording of the two scores and Tribute deserves support in their musical endeavors. As an aside, I'll mention that I wrote the historical overview of the two films for the liner notes, beautifully designed by Jim Titus, and our own Arch Stanton wrote the cue by cue analysis. Well, Morgan & Stromberg have already recorded music from Steiner's scores for KONG, SON OF KONG, THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME, SHE and THE BEAST WITH FIVE FINGERS. Not too much else horror-related on his resume, except THE MONKEY'S PAW and TWO ON A GUILLOTINE.

May 26 12 2:09 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I received the DON JUAN/ARSENIC set yesterday. The bonus horror cue is from nothing I guessed. I'll hold off on revealing it so others can be surprised. There's a second unannounced bonus cue on the disc, an arrangement of "Happy Birthday" as a rhumba (and preceded by the Warner Bros. fanfare). Anyone know the story behind that cue???

Right now, Tribute is negotiating with Monstrous Movie Music and Prometheus to form a mega-soundtrack label tentatively named "Tribmonprom" (catchy, don't you think?). Once the three companies have combined all their assets, Tribmonprom will then make a formal announcement that its future is uncertain.

You've got to wonder what that would have been like. Would the Brewster sisters have been reduced to just two harmless but eccentric old women or would they have been knocking off a different guest star every week?
