On one hand, I was thrilled to get to see one of my favorite classic monsters on the big screen. And on the other, I was pissed that this film was even made. Usually when they remake these classic Universal Horrors, they destroy it, and or, it's just not that good. This is what they've all ready done with Frankenstein and Dracula. But at the same time, I needed to see this. So after seeing the film, I have to tell you guys..... THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FILMS, NO, THE BEST FILM I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS!!! Really, this was amazing!!! I really want to review this film for my school paper, as well as for the Internet. But I am still so blown away that I am still not sure exactly how to go about reviewing it! This was one remake that, if anything, honors the original series! It was amazing!!! It was just like a classic horror film with enough gore and fun killing sequences to keep it modern! So here's my question to you guys. Is it just because I'm a kid? Because I have heard nothing but "Yeah, it was pretty good" or "Yeah, it was Ok". This was amazing!!! I joined when I was 12 (Which before I turned 13 I had "The 12 year old, classic horror fan") and I will be turning 14 on May 1st. hahaha. I have searched but can't find anything on it.I have heard that they might add an extra 17 minuets of footage not shown in the theaters. I am really happy that you guys here seemed to like it. The general audience doesn't know dick! They've been spoonfed crap for so long that their senses have been dulled. Stuff like SAW and Hostel. No respect for the classic monsters anymore. It's all "torture porn" now. And I know I sound like I'm 80 years old, but I swear I'm 21. The Wolfman was exactly what I wanted out of a werewolf movie and so much more. And remember, critics were very much lukewarm about the original Wolf Man and American Werewolf in London as well. I really think time will tell about this movie. Just like it did with Wolf Man and AWiL. In fact, it inspired me to start a werewolf project of my very own! So thank you very much, along with Joe Johnston, Benicio, Hopkins, Blunt and Weaving.

I loved it Rick, it's a real Monster/Horror movie, it's not made for the teen romance/politically correct/chick flick/ we need to make money crowd, it's for the fans of the classic Horror generation and that alone got it a pass for me, then you throw in the 2nd coolest Wolfman ever (by a slight margin) and what's not to love, he's cursed, he kills and he's just so damned cool looking!!! Seriously, they could have made it with a lead actor who all of a sudden is a sensitive play-writer, a lead female who isn't scared of anything, and a monster that is out of shape, bald with bad teeth (100% CGI) but they didn't, they didn't suck up to the female crowd, the teenage crowd or the politically correct crowd, they made a Horror/Monster movie!!!! An excellent one at that, fast paced balls to the wall monster movie I think as time goes by, this will get much favorable reviews and become a classic Horror/Monster movie. BTW Rick, I went with someone different to 7 of those screenings, and everyone one I went with thought it was very good except my older brother who thought it was just OK, out of those 18 people, I'd say 5 are Horror/Monster fans, so the general public that I know thought it was a good movie. I can't find anything on the DVD/BRD yet either, if anyone has any info when it will be released I'd much appreciate it Kess

My best guess, based on how the film is doing at the box-office, is that the dvd will be released in May.
