It’s up at the Wonderfest site now so I guess it’s official. The “VINCENT PRICE SUPER-8 FILM FESTIVAL in 3D” will be presented at Wonderfest in Louisville on Saturday, May 26th at 7pm, right after the Rondo Awards ceremony and just before the documentary “The Fantastic World of Bob and Kathy Burns”. Since I only have a 90-minute slot, this will be a slightly abridged version of the two-hour show that I took on the road when I was promoting Vincentennial, the Vincent Price 100th Birthday Celebration last year. This show consists of four Vincent Price movies on old-school Super-8 Sound Film condensed to 9 minutes each (WITCHFINDER GENERAL, THE RAVEN, PIT AND THE PENDULUM, and MASTER OF THE WORLD), a 7-film Vincent Price trailer reel, Tim Burton’s 6-minute VINCENT, and a 17-minute cut of THE MAD MAGICIAN in 3-D (I have plenty of 3D glasses for everyone and the 3D is surprisingly strong). I did the VINCENT PRICE SUPER-8 FILM FESTIVAL in 3D the night before Vincent Price’s 100th birthday at a nightclub in St. Louis and capped that event with a midnight screening of my Technicolor 16mm print of DR. GOLDFOOT AND THE GIRL BOMBS. There were Vincent Price fans from all over the world there and it was a memorable night. That was May 26th exactly one year before The VINCENT PRICE SUPER-8 FILM FESTIVAL in 3D is to be presented at Wonderfest . I hope to see everybody at Wonderfest!
