May 3 12 5:49 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I love film noir. I tend to like "grey" noir--I just made that up! I guess...I tend to like mine with crime, usually detectives, and the like. But I like other kinds also. There doesn't seem to be a lot of active discussions on this board for noir, but I think there is another forum that has it in the title. Not sure if this one is the right place for it, but I dunno...maybe it's ok? The mods or others will probably tell us. I have the Noir sets put out by WB a few years ago. I also have the Columbia sets, they just came out with a 3rd, but I'm a little cash strapped now and can't get that one for a while. I also try to find as many rare ones as possible, whenever possible, particularly if they are PD and available online. I have the Forgotten Noir sets as well, those aren't bad. I also watch as many as show up on TCM, and their WA listings have quite a few, though they are pricey unless you snatch some up when they are having a sale. Not sure about BR, as I don't have a BR player yet.

May 3 12 10:00 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I know about these on blu: The Stranger, Killer's Kiss, The Naked Kiss, Touch of Evil, Casablanca, Night of the Hunter, Kiss Me Deadly, The Maltese Falcon, The Third Man, Kansas City Confidential, The Red House. Not noir, but IMHO, the most interesting ongoing thing being released that noir fans might enjoy are the R2 DVDs from Odeon's Best of British and Hollywood lines. May 12 12 5:44 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Kino's releasing a Blu-Ray of They Made Me A Fugitive (1947) on July 24, 2012 . There's plenty of good DVDs for noir fans. I've been updating my (mostly) noir want list and was surprised to find that every single title is (or was) available on DVD in a legitimate release. (Though two are only available in region 2, and a few are from Alpha and the like.) Silver & Ward's Film Noir Encyclopedia has a much broader list that goes from Underworld (1927) to Taxi Driver (1976). I'm working through that, but there's already a few unavailable, such as Thunderbolt (1929) and The Scoundrel (1935), and some hard to finds like The Racket (1928).
