It looked like a sure fire hit given the premise. I just think Sommer's dropped the ball by making a bad film. I can see why Universal wants to revisit it, I'm just not at all convinced the guys they got lined up for it are going to make anything better than what we got in 04'

I remember seeing promotion for that thing when I was watching some of the Legacy monster DVDs, and this is what Sommers was claiming. I believe he even emphasized that if you loved the old monster movies, you'll love this. "Guy named Squeamy got thrown from the fifth floor. He's deader'n a mackerel."
