Was thinking of trying John Landis' book on Movie Monsters. Any suggestions out there in the nebulous realm of facebook?" Sorry if I am basically retreading familiar ground here, but when I scroll through this particular folder ("Horror Film Books and Magazines") I run across more mags than books, by far, and am having a hard time filtering out only books...

Does this make sense?" He responded: "I'm looking at it from an "and/or" perspective. I find the history of drive-ins (and movie houses like the Colonial) fascinating. I also would like to read more on exploitation,grindhouse and horror cinema. They go a little hand in hand but I'll look into any suggestions."

Typing in "grindhouse" or "drive-in theatre" or "exploitation films" will bring up all kinds of possibilities. I'm no expert in books on those areas. As for horror film books, a lot of those are covered at length on this Board. If he has specific questions about any of these books or the areas of horror films they cover -- ask away! Beyond that I really don't know what to advise.
